I find myself looking up at only sky

Never mind the bare branches of a lonely
family of trees
Never mind the sad existence of the
empty hope life can bring

Never mind the heart’s desire that lay
in squalor forbidden to grow.
I only see the sky
I only feel the dampness of doubt
and the vague breath
of a life I could never know.

I find myself looking up at only sky
but then I remember to DREAM. And
when I dream I feel my heart and
suddenly brilliant color and the depth
of flourishing beauty exists in my desires.
And I find myself opening my heart and
expanding my lungs and singing and loving
and shining with rich, vibrant, magnificent
splendid life!

Thank goodness, my heart’s desire…it still breathes within me. LDS
